Glenstead is a commissioning-led cultural practice working with galleries, heritage organisations, and private clients to design and host carefully strucutred evening experiences. Engagements range from intimate private tables to institutional commissions, each shaped with the same attention to pacing, atmosphere, and care of place.

Welcome to the table.
Our evenings are guided, story-led gatherings shaped by time, attention, and the character of the wines themselves. They are intimate by design — spaces where wine is not rushed or explained with technical jargon, but encountered slowly in company.
After the gathering
For those who wish to stay close between evenings, Glenstead is also encountered through The Dispatch — a slower, ongoing correspondence.
The Dispatch offers a way of living with wine over time: through notes, reflections, and monthly audio and video pieces that spend time with a single bottle (or small group of bottles), accompanied by written context and optional access to the wines themselves.
There are two ways to receive the Dispatch, depending on how closely you’d like to come.
Occasional notes from Glenstead, along with early inviations and announcements.
A monthly audio and video dispatch spending time with a single wine (or a small group of wines), accompanied by written notes for those who want to go deeper. Members also have optional access to the featured bottles.
Wine is often treated as something to move through quickly - tasted, judged, replaced.
Here, it's approached differently. Bottles are chosen for how thye fit together, how they suit a season, and how they're best experienced over time.
Whether through subscriptions, tables, or private work, each Glenstead offering is shaped by pacing, attention, and care.
What it's like at the table.
"Most wine tastings lose me about three sentences in. But this was completely different; instead of being talked at, you're taken on a journey."
"I had no idea a tasting could be like that...it made me enjoy wine again, maybe more than ever before."
"It felt thoughtful, creative, and genuinely immersive - like being part of a story rather than sitting an exam on grapes."
