Designed as a single, immersive evening — closer to a performance than a tasting.

Winter is a season of movement.

Of leaving what is familiar, of traveling by small lights, of gathering warmth where it can be found. The Winter Travelers is a guided wine tasting shaped as a single unfolding story - one that moves through mountains, forests, and finally back to the hearth.

This is not a conventional wine tasting.

This is an immersive, sensory experience where wine, myth, and ritual are woven together to deepen attention and heighten pleasure.

The Experience

Across the evening, three wines are introduced as three winter travelers, each arriving with its own landscape, story, and light:

  • The Torchlight - a bright white that cuts cleanly through the dark
  • The Lantern - a quieter, forest-rooted red that reveals itself slowly
  • The Hearthfire - a warming final pour that closes the journey by the fire

Rather than tasting first and listening later, participants are guided through the story as they taste - with cues for sight, scent, breath, and palate integrated throughout.

What's Included

  • Welcome bubbles
  • Three carefully selected wines
  • A guided, story-led tasting led by The Glenstead founder
  • Sensory elements to deepen the experience
  • A short centering ritual to begin the evening
  • Time for conversation, reflection, and shared discovery

No prior wine knowledge is required. Curiosity is enough.

The Atmosphere

The Winter Travelers is designed to be experienced slowly.

Music, lighting, and table settings are carefully considered, creating an environment that supports attention rather than distraction. Guests are invited to settle in, to listen, to taste deliberately, and to let the wines unfold in their own time.

This is an evening for those interested in an experience that encourages the enjoyment of wine not as consumption, but as an encounter.

Who It's For

This tasting is ideal for:

  • Those curious about wine but tired of technical jargon
  • Experienced connoisseurs looking for a more meaningful way to engage
  • Anyone drawn to ritual, story, and sensory experience
  • People who enjoy intimate gatherings over crowded events

A Note

Each Glenstead tasting is shaped by the season and the setting. While the structure remains, no two evenings are ever identical.

Some things are meant to be experienced once.
